Course content

The course covers a topic in French literature or linguistics and shows how this topic is investigated scientifically. The topic will be related to current research activities at the department. Students will gain insights into a specialized topic and how research in French literature and linguistics is conducted. By reading a selection of scientific literature and participating in discussions and presentations, students develop their proficiency in French at a higher academic level.

Lectures and/or seminars. Students should actively participate in discussions and presentations.

Approved obligatory assignment is valid for 2 semesters (the semester in which the approval is given, plus the following semester).

The oral examination is in the form of an oral presentation that lasts about 30 minutes. The candidate will be expected to bring written notes to the examination. The theme for the exam is given one week before the exam.
