Course content

The course will cover advanced aspects of sedimentology according to the requirements of the candidate(s) taking the course.

Learning outcome

KNOWLEDGE: After accomplishment and passed examination the candidate shall have thorough knowledge at a high level within selected aspects of sedimentology.

SKILLS: After accomplishment and passed examination the candidate shall know how to apply established and new theory and/or methodology of the selected topics in their own research.

Learning methods and activities

Independent work and discussions with course coordinator on relevant themes within the subject.

Admission to a programme of study is required:
Engineering (PHIV)

Required previous knowledge

TGB4165 Sedimentology and Stratigraphy, or equivalent. Attendance is restricted to NTNU Ph.D. students in the Ph.D. programme Engineering, programme option geology (sedimentology), and is to be approved by the course coordinator.
