- Projection and Coordinate Systems
- Spatial data
- Visualisation
- Vector and raster data analysis
- Leveling hights
- Surveying with total stations
- Satellite surveying by RTK
- Basic laserscanning
- Simple manual computation of coordinates and heights
- Reports writing
- Types of error, their recognition, and prevention possibilities
- Standard deviation, the mean (average), normal dstribution
- Brief introduction to simple survey adjustment
Learning outcome
Knowledge
- account for structure and storage formats for geographical data
- Explain how Geographic Information Systems (GIS) are used to solve practical issues
- Describe the possibilities of geographical analysis - explain the basic principles for presentation of map data
- apply basic land survey methods
- Perform manual calculations of coordinates and heights, accuracy calculation
- prepare documentation and understand the standards

- Perform import and export of data in a GIS
- master how maps and features are connected
- Perform digitization and map editing
- master how geographic data is presented
- work with current measuring instruments

- master basic use of metering equipment and software, ability to process data both manually and in software, write documentation and report
