Course content

The research process - Developing and formulating research questions - The various stages of the research process - Development of a scientific article - Presentation of research - Participation in scientific networks More information about the thesis is given in the Guidelines for the Master's Thesis at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences.

Learning methods and activities

Pedagogiske metoder: The students work regarding his / her master thesis will be a parallell process to the students attending Subject 5 HM502113: Participation, quality of health care and professional qualification and Subject 6 HM502213: Research methods, design and science theory for the master in advanced clinical nursing - the critically ill. The lectures will be organized as seminars where the student will present his / her work regarding the master thesis, and where he / she will receive guidance / feedback from one or several teachers and fellow students. In addition to this there will be individual guidance.  Obligatoriske arbeidskrav:  None

Specific conditions

Admission to a programme of study is required:
Advanced Clinical Nursing - the Critically ill (870AKS)
Advanced Clinical Nursing - the Critically ill (871AKD)

Required previous knowledge

The student must be admitted to the 870AKS/871AKS Master in advanced clinical nursing and have completed and passed courses corresponding to 60 credits included in the master program.
