About the course

Course content

- Selecting and manipulating DOM nodes using JavaScript
- Generating DOM elements dynamically and manipulating the DOM structure
- Fetching information from external sources
- Basic JavaScript constructs
- Testing and finding bugs
- Data persistence on the client
- Object oriented programming, classes, objects, methods

Learning outcome

Knowlegde
- have a thorough knowledge about basic JavaScript constructs and the DOM and how this can be used to create dynamic, interactive websites
- understand the basic principles i object oriented programming: classes, objects and methods
- Know the basic methods for testing and finding bugs in the code in the web browser

Skills
- being able to create simple interactive, dynamic websites using JavaScript, HTML and CSS
- being able to solve simple programming tasks

General competence
After having completed the course the students will have better skills in
