The candidate shall have:
- Insight into the development process and production of electronic equipment.
- Knowledge about circuit design, layout, PCB, assembly, soldering and testing.
- Overview of components used for electronics construction.
- Know of principles to reduce the effect of noise and EMC in electronic systems.
- Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical construction for electronic circuits.
Skills
The candidate will be able to:
- Analyze, model and simulate electronic circuits with use of data tools.
- Use CAD tools for drawing and layout for circuit design.
- Make descriptions for producing PCB and assemble components on it.
- Test and verify a produced electronic circuit design.
General competence
- The candidate shall be able to develop, make and test electronic equipment - from idea to final product.
Learning methods and activities
Lectures. Exercises. Circuit design project.
Further on evaluation
The assessment includes a written final exam (counts 70%) and a project assignment (counts 30%). Both parts must be passed. Grade: Letter grade.
In the event of a re-sit examination in August, the examination may be changed to an oral examination. If you do not pass the project assignment, this must be taken again at the next ordinary completion of the course.
If one or more partial assessments are not passed, only the individual partial assessment, which has not been passed, must be taken up again.
