Course content
In this course the students will gain knowledge in the following topics: IIoT Digital twins, an introduction Data collection and sensitivity analysis Introduction to machine learning methods, such as deep-learning? Predictive maintenance and conditional support systems
Learning methods and activities
In this course, we will first present a general introduction about digitalization in different domains, from automobile, aviation to maritime operations. Data-driven methods and analytics will be introduced. Students will learn how to use sensitivity analysis methods to simplify surrogate model for simulation. Some machine learning methods, including deep-learning technology will be introduced. We will take conditional support system as examples, to show the use of the technology in ship component predictive maintenance.

Students will use their own laptops to install software. Access to software will be given ahead of the course. Students can download lecture notes from given network.
