Course content

The thesis work will concentrate on research issues within the supervisor's own research group. Defining the focus of the thesis is an important aspect of the work.The student will work with the thesis through 2 semesters full time.

Learning outcome

The thesis is the core component of the Master of Science programme. The student will learn how to work independently with relatively advanced research issues.

Learning methods and activities

Self study under supervision from one of the department's faculty members. Mandatory partial deliveries after each semester.

Admission to a programme of study is required:
Informatics (MIT)
Informatics (MSIT)

Required previous knowledge

The thesis is only available to students admitted into the Master of Science programme in Informatics. Students are required to have completed their first two semesters of this programme before the thesis work is started.
