About the course
Course content
The course will prepare the students for the process of writing the master's thesis in speech and language therapy through the development of a project proposal.
Learning outcome
After passing the exam, the student has
- knowledge of project design, data collection, data protection and other project management processes
- text and response competence about one’s own and other people’s written texts and projects
- knowledge of scientific writing and argumentation
At the end of the course, the student must
- have developed a project description for their master's thesis, made a progress plan for the work on the thesis and made the necessary preparations for data collection.
Learning methods and activities
Lectures, plenary discussions, group discussions and response clinic. The course has two compulsory requirements. It is assumed that all students regularly use the current learning platform.

Further on evaluation
Form of assessment: Report that the students must work on throughout the semester. The report must be a complete project description for the master's thesis with research question, overview of existing research in the field, theoretical framework, choice of material and research method, ethical considerations, progress plan and list of references.
In order to sit for the exam, the student must have attended 80% of the teaching and have two assignments approved.
Only one’s own and one’s child's illness or similar are valid reasons for absence.
