Course content
The aim of the course is to carry out a music technological project in a real-world setting and with external stakeholders. The aim of the project may be of a non-musical nature, but have a societal or industrial impact.
Learning outcome
Knowledge: Having completed the course the student will:
- be able to plan and carry out a complete real-world project with a group of other students.
- be able to analyse the problem at hand, work structurally, and develop a solution to the problem.
- have thorough experience with working in an interdisciplinary team and reporting to an external partner.
- be able to critically reflect on all aspects of the development process, and the practical and aesthetic qualities of the developed solution.
Learning methods and activities
The projects will be carried out in cross-campus teams:
- Introductory seminar during which the problems are defined in dialogue with the external partners
- Development phase with supervision
- Weekly seminars for presentation of progress
Compulsory assignments
- Satisfactory participation in compulsory classes

Examination arrangement: Group trial lecture (50%) and Individual term paper (50%)
Specific conditions
Compulsory activities from previous semester may be approved by the department.
