Course content

MD4031 (Link Levanger) has the same academic content, learning goals and exam as MDT4030, but the subjects in IIA and IIB being integrated through both semesters

The third year is more clinically focused than the first two years. The semester called IIA includes subjects like: The eye; the ear, nose and throat; neurology and neurosurgery; geriatrics; stroke; infections; physical medicine and rehabilitation; radiology; oncology (cancer medicine). The other semester, called IIB, is more focused on surgery and internal medicine. Subjects in this term: The heart; the vascular system; the blood; the lungs and airways; the digestive system. More pathology, pharmacology and oncology are tought corresponding with the organ systems.

The students who do not pass the exam will have to resist only the part of the exam they did not pass, i.e. either the oral or the written exam or both.

Admission to a programme of study is required:
Medical studies (CMED)

Required previous knowledge

Admission to CMED and successfully completed second year of Medical School (MD4020).
