In semester IIC the teaching includes the following topics: orthopedics, psychiatry, child- and adolescent psyhiatry, dermatology/venereology, plastic surgery, pathology, pharmacology, emergency medicine, rheumatology, radiology/imaging and clinical decision-making.

The teaching is organised in thematic weeks. Lectures, clinics, seminars and courses are given on Mondays, partly Tuesdays and Fridays, while clinical teaching and PBL (problem based learning) are given the rest of the week throughout the semester. In addition to the respective clinical departments, other departments and institutes are also integrated in the teaching.

The students (except foreign students) will also, during autumn in the fourth year, choose their topic for their main thesis, get a supervisor and submit a protocol before 31 January in the next semester. See also semester IIIA.

For all mandatory teaching activity, a maximum of 15 % unauthorized absence from this course is allowed. This course is common to the students in Trondheim and in the study program Link and has the same academic content, learning goals and exam. The Link students, however, have their study base in Levanger.
