cold vapor compression
refigeration and heating capacity, coefficient of performance
ice production and refrigeration equipment
Learning outcome
Læringsutbytte - Kunnskap:
know the main types of pumps, and their typical applications
know the principle of solubility of gases in water, and how saturation may be increased and how supersaturation may be reduced.
Læringsutbytte - Ferdigheter:
demonstrate insight in basic physical concepts and models
analyze a problem, establish force vectors in component form, and use Newtonian laws to solve the problem
evaluate buoyancy and stability of floating objects
establish and solve an equation for heat balance
calculate heating and refrigeration needs for a given production situation
establish Bernoulli's equation for a pipeline without and with losses
assess whether a given pump is capable to deliver a given flow of liquid through a given pipeline
