The size of the curriculum is about the same, but in fewer fields. The course is more demanding and technical. In addition there will be given an introduction to the use of medical technology in diagnostics and treatment; background, chemical and physical principles and technology. Finally, there will be an introduction to the scientific methods that are specific to medicine: Epidemiology, clinical studies and evaluation of diagnostic methods, and their statistical basis.
