Examination arrangement
Course content
The course aims to nurture the passion the research field. The research project will allow exchange students to have the hands-on opportunity to develop pertinent skills in research, including the formulation of a research hypothesis, critique of published literature, experimental design methodologies, and data collection and analysis.
Learning outcome
After the research project thesis the student
- has in depth knowledge into a specific field;
- has the competence to formulate a research question based on adequate insight into current knowledge;
- has skills to apply and adopt experimental methods to gain new knowledge;
- has skills to obtain, record and interpret experimental data; is able to retrieve and interpret published scientific data;
- has the competence to report outcomes of research and defend interpretations and conclusions in a coherent way, both orally and in writing
Learning methods and activities
Independent research project work on a relevant topic under supervision.
Compulsory assignments
- The first draft of the FYP report will be assessed by the supervisors
