About the course
Course content
The short course is a language course for beginners. The course focuses on basic grammar and use of everyday language in both oral and written production.
Learning outcome
KNOWLEDGE:
The candidates level of knowledge is equivalent to at least Level A1 in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
SKILLS:
The candidate
- can understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases aimed at the satisfaction of needs of a concrete type
- is able to introduce him/herself and others and ask and answer questions about personal details such as where they live, people they know and things they posses
- can interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help.
Learning methods and activities
Attendance is compulsory for the first lecture.
Approved examination's requirements are valid for 4 semesters after approval date.
Compulsory assignments
- 3 written assignment
- 80% attendance (obligatory attendance the first lecture)
- 1 obligatory oral exercise/test
Further on evaluation
In order to sit for the exam students need to hand in 3 written assignments which must be approved by the end of the course, in addition to pass an oral exercise/test.
