Course content
Introduction to Norwegian is a language course for beginners. The course focuses on basic grammar and use of everyday language in both oral and written production.
Learning outcome
KNOWLEDGE:
The candidate's level of knowledge is equivalent to at least Level A1 in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
SKILLS:
The candidate
- is able to understand and use everyday expressions in order to carry out day-to-day tasks
- is able to introduce him- or herself and others
- is able to ask questions and answer questions about his or her whereabouts, acquaintances and possessions
- is able to interact with another person in an understandable way provided the other person speaks slowly and clearly and is willing to clear up any communicative issues
Learning methods and activities
Up to 3 hours teaching per week. Students need up to four approved obligatory activities, including an oral exercise, in order to sit the exam.
Attendance is compulsory for the first lecture, and the overall attendance requirement is 80 per cent.
Compulsory assignments
- Up to 4 obligatory activities
- 80% attendance (obligatory attendance the first lecture)
Further on evaluation
The written exam will be in Norwegian Bokmål. Dictionaries are not allowed.
Approved examination's requirements are valid for 4 semesters.
