About the course

Course content

Same as NORD1102. Students are not expected to be able to express themselves in Norwegian (bokmål or nynorsk) to the same extent as Norwegian students. NORX-courses may not be included in a Norwegian university degree or qualify for admission to Teacher Education.

Learning outcome

Same as NORD1102.

Learning methods and activities

The students attend the lectures and read the same curriculum as the students in NORD1102. The course is taught in Norwegian.

Lectures and group work with essay writing.

Obligatory assignments:

  • Minimum 75% attendance at lectures.
  • Up to 4 short written assignments (1-2 pages). There will be oral/written evaluation (pass/fail) of these assignments.

The absence limit is intended to cover normal sick leave and similar situations, and you will not be granted valid absence from teaching based on a medical certificate, even if the absence is due to circumstances beyond your control. In special cases, agreements for exemption can be made with the course coordinator, preferably at the start of the semester.

Language requirements: The student can choose to write the assignments and exam in NORX1110 in either bokmål or nynorsk.

Approved obligatory assignments are valid for 2 semesters (the semester in which the approval is given, plus the following semester).

For international guest students (student exchange through International Office at NTNU) only.
