About the course

Course content

The course provides students the opportunity to immerse themselves in research methods, both theoretical and practical. It runs parallel specialization courses in quantitative, qualitative and historical/text analytic method. Specialization in quantitative methods provides the opportunity to specialize in more advanced statistics.

Learning outcome

The course provides in-depth knowledge and skills in the chosen specialization regarding:
- Research design.
- Data collection.
- Analysis.

Learning methods and activities

4 hours of lectures and 2 hours of seminars per week in weeks 44-47.

Examination: Written exam (4 hours).

Required previous knowledge

As for admission to the master degree in Education or Counselling.

Course materials

The required course reading material is approximately 500 pages.
