Course content
This lecture builds on the foundation provided by POL1002 and gives greater and more detailed attention to central concepts and theories in the field of public policy. The lecture focuses on the development and implementation of public policy, as well as the consequences and analysis of public policy. To achieve this, we first focus on the different stages of the policy cycle, developing a comprehensive understanding about what occurs at each stage. Second, we reinforce these topics through in-depth assessments of select policy areas. Finally, the lecture concludes with an examination of current trends and potential future developments in public policy and administration.
