About the course

Course content

The objective of this course is to give the student a basic understanding of financial accounting including measurement, reporting and analysis of accounting information.

Learning outcome

Knowledge: The objective and uses of accounting information and financial statements, reporting in the balance Sheet and profit and loss account, measures of asset and liabilities, closing the accounts, recognition of income taxes, cash flow statements, introduction to group accounts, financial statement analysis.

Learning methods and activities

Lectures, assignments and private study. During the semester, 8 exercises are given of which 5 must be approved before the candidate can get access to the exam. Business simulation. Activities from previous semesters can be approved by the institute.
