Course content
The course gives a broad and update introduction to leadership as a field of study. The academic content is based on the understanding of leadership as a complex contextual, relational, processual and emotional phenomenon. In addition to theoretical perspectives on leadership, guest lecturers provide supplementary insight into practical leadership issues in complex real-life contexts.

Knowledge
The student has:
- In-depth and update knowledge of relevant theories and empirical fields in leadership.

- Understand and analyze different leadership issues in a critical, reflective way.

Learning methods and activities
Lectures, group work, plenary discussions, presentations. Active participation in group and plenary activities is emphasized.

The assessment consists of a group-based assignment, which counts 100% towards the final grade.
There are mandatory coursework requirements in the course that must be approved prior to the assessment. The compulsory activity consists of three activities, all of which must be completed. This work is carried out in groups of 2-3 students.
The three activities of the mandatory work requirement are the following:
1. Submission of a written assignment that will be the basis for the group-based assignment (exam).
2. Peer evaluation of submission (activity 1)
3. Oral presentation (2-3 students) of the syllabus article.
In addition, attendance at all three parts of the activities is required.
