Course content
The course gives a broad and update introduction to leadership as a field of study. The academic content is based on the understanding of leadership as a complex contextual, relational, processual and emotional phenomenon. In addition to theoretical perspectives on leadership, guest lecturers provide supplementary insight into practical leadership issues in complex real-life contexts.

Knowledge
The student has:
- In-depth and update knowledge of relevant theories and empirical fields in leadership.

- Understand and analyze different leadership issues in a critical, reflective way.

Learning methods and activities
Lectures, group work, plenary discussions, presentations. Active participation in group and plenary activities is emphasized.

The assessment in the course consists of both a written school exam (counts 60%) and a group assignment (counts 40%) The group assignment is carried out in groups of 2-3 student.
In order to achieve the result of the assessment associated with the group assignment, the following mandatory work must be completed.
- Peer evaluation (mandatory work requirement 1)
- Oral presentation (mandatory work requirement 2)
Further information regarding the completion of compulsory work and assessment will be provided at the start of the semester.
In the event of improvement of grades and not passes, the opportunity is given to take the individual partial assessment.
The course is only available to students with admission to a study program under "special conditions".
