About the course
Course content
The content of the course will vary. It may given as an overview course, covering several statistics techniques, or it may be concentrated to one techniques, such as multilevel analysis, structural equations models and analyses of panel data. The term paper should be an independent treatment of a theme from the lectures and may have a length of 15-20 pages, or 5600-7500 words.
Learning outcome
Knowledge – the student shall:
- have achieved an insight into one or more advanced statistical data analysis.
Skills - the student shall demonstrate the ability to:
- be able to treat one of the themes which has been discussed during instruction in an independent manner through written work at an high international standard.
Learning methods and activities
Lectures and seminars intensive, normally in 1 week in the beginning of the semester. Form of assessment: Paper. The course is offered if available teaching resources.
If 6 or fewer students sign up for a planned course during the first 2 teaching weeks, the course will be offered as an instructed reading course.
