Course content
The course provides a continuation of Spanish Grammar with a focus on theoretical language competence. The students will learn terminology to describe the Spanish language system. The course provides a contrastive aspect and focuses on differences between Spanish and Norwegian.
Learning outcome
KNOWLEDGE
The candidate:
- has knowledge of the most important word classes and can use these in accordance with their conjugations
- has basic knowledge of terminology within morphology and syntax
- can analyse compounded sentences
- has knowledge about usage of Spanish verbs in indicative, conjunctive and imperative
SKILLS
The candidate:
- can use relevant dictionaries, encyclopaedias and grammar books
- can use Spanish sentence structure in a correct manner
- can use the Spanish verbal system and explain differences between Spanish and Norwegian in accordance with usage of indicative, conjunctive and imperative
GENERAL COMPETENCE
The candidate:
- can plan and conduct linguistic academic tasks and projects
- can reflect on personal academic practice and adjust this under guidance
- has command of relevant academic tools
Learning methods and activities
The course is a combination of lectures and group work with practical assignments.
Approved obligatory assignments are valid for 2 semesters. All obligatory assignments must be completed in the same semester.
Compulsory assignments
- 3 written assignments
Recommended previous knowledge
SPA1201, SPA1401 and SPA1100.
All lectures will be conducted in Spanish, and the exam will be fully answered in Spanish.
