Knowledge 
- the student:

Knows methodological principles in research
Accounts for the literature survey as a method
Accounts for the nursing field`s perspective on humanity, relational and moral dimensions
Accounts for the theoretical perspective in nursing
Accounts for the elements in knowledge-based practice
Shows comprehensive knowledge about the maintenance of the patient`s basic needs in the examination of illness
Accounts for the nursing of acutely, critical, long-term and chronically ill patients, based on work, decision-making and documentation processes
Accounts for the teaching, health-promoting and preventative aspect`s significance for acutely, critically, long-term and chronically ill patients
Has knowledge about organisation and management in the specialist health services
Shows insight into health legislation`s regulation of duties and rights among the actors in the health services
