Course content
In building protection, the condition assessment of the restoration object is central to obtaining a good basis for further work. In order to carry out assessments of the condition, knowledge of the historical building craft and relevant material knowledge is central. Analysis of damage images based on insight into existing construction may require professional collaboration with other craft subjects or adjacent subject area and collection of relevant information for the work. Reporting in the form of various types of reports and communication with involved parties such as owners, administration, employees or other companies is central to achieving good implementation of restoration projects. By studying experiences and results from a number of selected restoration projects, we will promote discussions of the project and the processes. Through exercises and in-depth assignments with guidance, the candidates will gain relevant experiences.
