Acquisition, registration, processing, analysis and interpretation of road and transport-related data.
Use of programming and statistical methods.
Learning outcome
Knowledge
The student must have knowledge of:
- Various sources of road and transport-related data
- Methods for registering and collecting own data
- Methods for processing and analyzing data
- Regulations relating to the collection and handling of data
Skills
The student must be able to:
- Retrieve data from existing sources
- Carry out own data collection
- Apply relevant analysis methods, and interpret and present analysis results
- Program in Python or equivalent
- Use statistical software such as SPSS or equivalent
General skills
The student can:
- Assess the validity and reliability of data sources and analysis results
- Present and explain analysis results in a clear and understandable way
- Collect and process data in accordance with rules, requirements and ethical guidelines
- Solve tasks both independently and as part of a team

The subject is partly based on TBM4281.
