Course - Analog CMOS 2 - TFE4191
Analog CMOS 2
About
About the course
Course content
Theory and techniques for analog-to-digital and digita-to-analog data converters including delta-sigma modulators. Design and implentation of data converters and radio frequency circuits in CMOS technology. Methodology and EDA tools for design of analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits.
Learning outcome
The course will give a theoretical fundament for data converters, radio frequency circuits and implementation of such systems in CMOS technology. Also, the course will provide and introduction to design methodologies for analog and mixed-signal CMOS integrated circuits. In addition, the course will give practical experience in design and simulation of such systems.
Learning methods and activities
Lectures. Assignments, both theoretical and computer based. Mandatory term project. Portfolio assessment is the basis for the grade in the course. The portfolio includes a final written exam (65%) and exercises (35%). The results for the parts are given in %-scores, while the entire portfolio is assigned a letter grade. If there is a re-sit examination, the examination form may be changed from written to oral. The course may be held in English.
