Course content

Learning outcome

Competence: After completing the specialization project, the student should have

  • learned to delve into a specific topic within the subject area.
  • have a scientific basis for completing a master's thesis within the subject area.

Knowledge and skills: After completing the course, the student should have learned scientific working methods when completing an independent project within the subject area. The student should have learned to carry out a project and write a project report in accordance with current standards and with the use of relevant digital tools

Learning methods and activities

The project work is carried out individually or in small groups of students (normally two) under the supervision of a professor/lecturer. Subject-specific digital tools including programming is used where relevant.

Further on evaluation

If the project is performed as group work, the students and supervisor shall make an agreement about individual or joint assessment of the final project report.

Specific conditions

Admission to a programme of study is required:
Hydropower Development (MSB1)

Required previous knowledge

It is provided that the student has completed all courses which are listed as compulsory in the study plan, or gets approval from the person with course responsibility.
