About the course
Course content
The course covers the companies responsibility in the globalization process based on the principles from UNs Global Compact, Global Reporting Initiatives (GRI) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), hereunder sustainable development, environmental requirements, and social responsibility in the value chain. The course covers basic organization theory and management of change, environmental management (EMAS and ISO 14000-Serie),integrated SHE (Safety, Health and Environment)-management, reporting, environmental performance indicators, communication, and legislation.
Learning outcome
The course gives introduction to selected parts of organizational theories, sustainability principles and on occupational health, environmental and safety management for organizations and companies, and understanding of social responsibility in a global economy.
Learning methods and activities
Lectures, voluntary exercises. If there is a re-sit examination, the examination form may change from written to oral.
