About the course
Course content
The course specializes within selected topics from Concrete Technology 1: rheology of fresh concrete; hydration and pore structure development; property development and early age crack control, and service life, and also treats durability, maintenance and repair of concrete structures, with focus on reinforcement corrosion, as well as sustainability.
Learning outcome
The course shall give the students theoretical and practical knowledge about fresh- and young concrete, pore structure and service life, as well as maintenance and repair of concrete structures.
Learning methods and activities
Lectures, colloquiums, group works and exercises. If there is a re-sit examination, the examination form may be changed from written to oral. The lectures and exercises are in English when students who do not speak Norwegian take the course. If the teaching is given in English the Examination papers will be given in English only. Students are free to choose Norwegian or English for written assessments.
