About the course

Course content

Management and project management, success factors, project goals and objectives. Project organizations, Project phases and life-cycle, Project scope management. Project schedules, cost and resources planning. Monitoring and controlling projects, Reporting progress, Cultural mainstream. Project risk management.

Learning outcome

The course aims to give the students through:
- Understanding to characteristics and success factors for project work.
- Understanding and training in methods for organizing, scope planning, time planning, estimation, risk management, project monitoring and control.

Learning methods and activities

Combination of lectures, in-class- assignments, hand-in exercises, group based assignments and student presentations. If there is a re-sit examination, the examination form may be changed from written to oral. Lectures are given in Norwegian.
