About the course

Course content

Management and project management, success factors, project goals and objectives. Project organization, Project phases and life-cycle, Project structure, scope, and WBS, Project time schedules, cost and resources planning. Monitoring and controlling projects, Reporting progress. Project risk management.

Learning outcome

The course aims to give the students through:
- Understanding to characteristics and success factors for project work.
- Understanding and training in methods for scope planning, time planning, estimation, risk management, project monitoring and control.

Learning methods and activities

Combination of lectures, in-class- assignments, hand-in exercises, group based assignments and student presentations. If there is a re-sit examination, the examination form may be changed from written to oral. Instructions are given in English
