Learning methods and activities
Lectures, individual and group exercises (some to be presented in class), and use of simulations to ensure a thorough understanding of how the theory can be applied in realistic situations. Mandatory assignment: Each group is required to present 1 - 2 group exercises.

Individual report, minimum 10-15 pages (100 %). The report shall be submitted in NTNU's Learning Management System INSPERA as one pdf-file.
Compulsory activities: The student must have 80% attendance in the course in order to register for the exam. Special cases are assessed individually by submitting an application to the Study Program Manager. Compulsory activities from the previous semester can be approved by the department.
Re-sit examination: Students who failed the exam or have a legitimate leave of absence from the exam, will be allowed to re-sit the exam during the next re-sit opportunity.

Recommended previous knowledge
The course is introducing the Issues Management and the Crisis Management processes as continuing processes after executing a Risk Management process as presented in the course "Risk Management." It is recommended, but not mandatory, to take that course before this course.
