Course content

- Available data sets (geonorge)- Standards and product specifications- Electromagnetic radiation (EMS)- Digital images and image interpretation,- Photogrammetry, map construction, quality, control, sources of error- Orthophoto, production, use, quality, control, sources of error- Lidar, production, application, analysis, quality, control, sources of error- Satellite imagery, Earth observation satellites, technology and applications, classification of multipsectoral images- Remote-controlled aircraft, use, quality, control, sources of error

Learning outcome

Knowledge:-Explain the basic principles for country mapping based on optical images and laser scanning-Describe quality, availability, and applications for geographic data from optical images and laser scanningSkills:-conduct a manual interpretation of an orthophoto or a multispectral satellite image-conduct an automatic or semi-automatic classification of a multispectral satellite image together with any additional data-Conduct an analysis of quality in an area classification-Conduct an analysis and interpretation of a LIDAR dataset (puncture)General competence:-presis written dissemination of subject matter-Reflect on the required knowledge base to order and use geographic data
