Course content

Digital design: - Number systems and codes - Boolean algebra and Karnaugh diagrams - Logic gates and combinational logic - Latches, flip-flops, counters and synthesis of syncronous sequential circuits - Memory circuits Programming: - Program structure - Development tools - Datatyper, variabler - Operatores - Control structures (loops and conditional statements) - Functions and parameters - Structures - Arrays, strings and pointers Applied microcontroller programming: - The microcontroller platform - I/O functionality - Sensors (temperature, light, motion, distance, tilt,, etc) - Servos and DC-motors

Knowledge: The candidate ... - Has knowledge of the construction of a microcontroller - Has knowledge of sensors and practical use of sensors together with microcontrollers - Has knowledge of the use of programming to control a microcontroller - Has knowledge of circuits in interfaces between microcontrollers and the outside world Skills: The candidate ... - can program a microcontroller system - connect one or more sensors to a system, as well as read data from them - can use database systems for measurement and control - can read data sheets for sensors and microcontrollers - can make a basics Laboratory Courses for Professional Degrees in Electrophages General Competence: The Candidate ... - Communicates Knowledge in the School and Business Area - Can use a professional language in communication with colleagues and representatives from other disciplines
