The Signal Processing group is a nationally leading research group within its field, and was recently internally evaluated at level 4.5/5 for its activities. The group’s research and education activities include signal processing and wireless communication as major components. The interests of the group include techniques and algorithms for in-body and through-the-body communication and related signal processing methods, signal processing theory and methods for medical applications, as well as system performance analysis. Prof. Kansanen will be main supervisor for ESR12-13 with Profs. Ramstad and Balasingham as co- supervisors. Prof. Kansanen will co-supervise the hosted ESR2 at OUS and will coordinate WP6 on Dissemination, Communication, and Exploitation.
