Course content

Lumped and distributed precipitation - runoff models. Updating and inflow prognosis. GIS systems in hydrological applications. Floods and flood warning. Snow hydrology. Models of river systems. Simulation of hydropower systems.

Learning outcome

Provide a thorough understanding of the structure of important hydrological models. Practical applications of hydrological simulation systems.

Learning methods and activities

Lectures and seminars. Exercises and applications of computer models. Field exercises. Lectures in English. If there is a re-sit examination, the examination form may be changed from written to oral.
