Ahmed Mohamed Jaffar Marhoon Abdulla Marhoon
About
I am a researcher in Industrial Ecology, with expertise in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Material Flow Analysis (MFA). I completed my PhD at the Industrial Ecology Programme, supervised by Francesca Verones and co-supervised by Martin Dorber.
My research revolves around understanding the relationship between the environmental impacts of plastic pollution and societal consumption patterns of plastic products, and my work aims to provide science-based policy recommendations for addressing the plastic crisis.
My PhD was part of MAPLE – Marine Plastic Pollution: Environmental Impact and life cycle scenarios, which is one of NTNU's interdisciplinary sustainability projects, and is titled Quantifying the Norwegian Plastic Cycle and Its Impacts: Integrating Material Flow Analysis and Life Cycle Assessment to Guide Policy
