Background and activities

Aina holds a BA (2015) in Social Anthropology from Stockholm University, and a BA (2010) in Performing Arts from Novia University of Applied Sciences. Her master’s thesis (2017, Stockholm University, University of Vienna) investigates courtroom procedures employed by the Court of Criminal Justice in Vienna from the perspective of affective atmospheres. Her current research project deals with the issue of detention in Sweden and explores the work undertaken to detain and deport immigrants. Among her research focus are work life, incarceration, affect, technology, and ethnographic methods.
