Research
I'm developing a smart control system designed to optimize heating efficiency in buildings while maintaining a comfortable indoor environment for occupants, taking into account temperature and other factors. The objective is to reduce energy consumption during peak hours and support demand-response programs while ensuring that indoor temperatures remain comfortable, avoiding extremes of heat or cold. Moreover, I am organizing building information, including details about rooms, heating equipment, sensors, and temperature settings, to ensure it can be safely utilized for analysis and control. Our control system design aims to adapt to categories of buildings rather than being strictly defined by the model of the system, a method referred to as a data-driven approach. Additionally, I aim to develop a prediction model that analyzes how variations in weather, occupancy, and heating activities influence indoor temperature changes over time. This model will help mitigate the impact of disturbances or uncertainties on the system. We use these predictions to strategically plan optimal heating decisions ahead of time, which improves the efficiency and flexibility of building operations in practical situations.
