Background and activities

Research Area

I work on the subjective and physiological assessments of digital storytelling and new media applications. My research focuses on holistic measures for user-perceived quality in immersive media vis-a-vis various forms of presence and immersion. I am currently working on the relation between content and context influence factors in the formation of an overall Quality of Experience (QoE) of VR applications.

Background

I graduated in Architecture (B.Arch) with interests surrounding associative design and digital tectonics. A master's thesis on "Self-Sufficient Habitats" (M.Arch) shifted my research focus towards the confluence of new media and the built environment, which led me to a second masters degree (M.A.) in Media Technology.
