Astrid Bjørkøy

Work area / Responsibilities
I am an enthusiastic and highly competent biophycisist, managing the core facility Center for Advanced Microscopy (CAM: https://www.ntnu.edu/nv/cam) at the NV faculty. I train and assist students and researchers, studying a broad range of different organic/biological and inorganic samples. We use both commercial and custom-made instruments and microscopes, offering state of the art techniques. I have many years of experience in optics, instrumentation, microscopy, image analysis and programming (Matlab, LabVIEW, C++ etc.), both as a researcher and as an engineer. I always do my very best to help new and experienced users of CAM, to ensure the best research standards and quality throughout the complete workflow.
