About
Architect and PhD student at the faculty of Architecture and Planning, I am part of the Circular City Project. Together with members of the project, we aim to better understand Trondheim's building stock, to be able to build scenarios for the future.
The concept of circularity is an essential factor of sustainable development. Indeed, at the
end of the 20th century, we were coming out of a period of plenty, which led us to overconsumption and
waste. Today, the world is changing and we need to find a better balance between our demand, which is
growing, and our resources, which are decreasing. As these changes occur in our society, it is essential to
establish a good understanding of how society works, and think from a bottom-up perspective.
For those reasons, it is essential to work on several scales: the building scale, the neighborhood scale, and the city scale.
