Specialist in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology, attached to St.Olavs Hospital, Trondheim. My research study was on influence of low birthweight on bone.
Background:
Basic medical degree MBBS with Honors at Faculty of Medicine, Colombo, Sri Lanka. From 2002-2003 practical trainee position in Dept. of Pediatrics, St.Olavs Hospital, Trondheim. Obtained MD from University of Oslo in late 2003. Norwegian Authorization as a medical practitioner in 2005.
Started postgraduate training in Internalmedicine at St.Olavs Hospital from late 2005 and Subspecialty training in Endocrinology, from 2010-2013.
Board certified as Specialist in Internal medicine and Endocrinology from early 2014.
Joined NTNU as a PhD candidate under supervision of Prof. Unni Syveren and postdoc. Kari Anne Indredavik in a large follow up research project where we study the influence of low birth weight on bone and body composition in early adulthood.
