Dimitrios is a Spatial Planning and Development Engineer with particular research interest in disaster risk reduction, Natech accidents, risk communication and participatory risk management processes. His doctoral research focused on risk communication, information disclosure and citizen engagement issues in the context of chemical accidents caused by natural hazards (Natech). Going beyond academic research, his work also involved the development of a serious game for raising community awareness about Natech risks and fostering stakeholder engagement.
Currently, Dimi's postdoc research focuses on disaster risk reduction, emergency safety systems, community perceptions and technology acceptance for hydrogen fuelling stations and hydrogen technologies, primarily associated with the SUSHy Project.
