About

Eleni Chatzidaki is a Postdoctoral Researcher in Learning Technology at the Department of Computer Science at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and a research member of Learner-Computer Interaction lab.

Her research focuses on Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), interactive learning environments, game-based learning, and the design of educational digital tools for children.

She is currently involved in STEAM learning research projects, investigating ways to enhance learning experiences. Specifically, she is participating in Surrounded by Science, funded by Horizon 2020 Science with and for Society (SwafS) programme (2021-2024) and STE(A)M Learning Ecologies projects funded by Horizon Europe (2022-2025).

She holds a PhD diploma in Human Computer-Interaction from Hellenic Open University (Hellas). During her doctoral research she developed several educational tools with an extended focus on improving learners’ engagement through the integration of technology.

In the past, she had been participated in several European Funded Projects. Additionally, she has extensive work experience as a web and software developer. Regarding her tutoring experience, she was teaching Computer Science courses in Vocational Training Institutes.

Research

Her research focuses on Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), interactive learning environments, game-based learning, and the design of educational digital tools for children. Moreover, her research involves investigating motivational and engagement factors in learning contexts and designing activities aimed at enhancing the educational journey of the learners.
