About

Associate professor in Automation and Intelligent Systems (AIS) at the Department of ICT and Natural Sciences, NTNU in Ålesund.

Head of Cyber-Physical Systems Laboratory - NTNU (CPS-Lab), and coordinator for Autonomous Ships, one of three key research areas at the CPS-Lab. Key researcher in SFI AutoShip. Supervisor for 4 PhD candidates.

My main research interests are in motion control and autonomy and power and energy management for autonomous ships and drones (UAVs).

I am teaching courses in automatic control and artificial intelligence (AI) in our study programs:

  • Bachelor's Degree Programme, Automation and Intelligent Systems (AIS)
  • 2-year Master’s programme (sivilingeniør) in Mechatronics and Automation
