Background and activities
I am in the Process Systems Engineering group, supervised by Assoc Prof Johannes Jäschke. The goal of my research is to develop methods for building and maintaining models such that they accurately describe the process / equipment state, and allow for the prediction of future process behavior. In doing so I will be combining operational data, first principles knowledge,system identification and machine learning.
I obtained my bachelor and Masters degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cape Town. During this time my focus was on process simulation and numerical methods under supervision by Prof Klaus Möller.
