Formal position

Filippo Frontini is a PhD candidate at the Architectural design, History and Technology department, NTNU Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Faculty of Architecture and Fine Art. 

Field of competences

His main research concerns historic timber structure, in particular their assessment and structural analysis. His current case study is the Trøndelag family of churches, paying particular attention at roof structure, joints performances, damages and repair works. 


He has a MSc in Building Engineering from the Universita' politecnica delle Marche, Italy.
